Join us at Blackmoor Common (not Blacka Moor) for a volunteering session carrying out gentle conservation tasks. These sessions are suitable for all levels of confidence and experience – no conservation background required!
We will be cutting back scrub onsite to allow heathland regrowth. This is a great opportunity to visit a beautiful nature reserve and learn about the management carried out on-site.
We will have 2 breaks for tea and lunch (but if you need to take extra breaks just ask!). Coffee, tea and biscuits will be provided.
Please bring drinking water, lunch and outdoor clothing suitable for the weather. Suitable outdoors footwear must be worn – this and other outdoors clothing can be borrowed from us if you ask in advance. I can also offer lifts to the site from our yard if asked in advance.
Please note there are no toilets on-site, and in some areas the ground may be uneven.
We will meet at the google maps point below at 10:30am.
If you have any questions about the session or are running late please contact me on m.thimm@wildsheffield.com or 07517054447.
